i witness as a volunteer the exploitation of the consumers?
I am volunteering this summer at this outdoor Broadway theater. I work at the bar. When i saw the price at which they sell beer and cheap wine, i was shocked. One can of beer costs a whopping 6 dollar, and one glass of Yellow Tail wine 6 dollar as well!!! How in the world would they do that? That is sheer exploitation and injustice. Although they say all the funds will go to next year’s budget, i remain skeptical. It reminds me of why free market is not a good thing.
No, you are exactly wrong. This is a PERFECT example of why a free market is good: If you want to make the purchase, do so. If not, DON’T buy. That sends a signal to the seller. If the prices are too high, sales will disappear and the price will get lowered. There is ZERO “exploitation” of consumers here.
